Winter Olympics Videos

JotPix

JotPix is a YouTube and photographs Google Maps mashup. The application allows people to embed location specific photos and videos on a Google map.

JotPix usually concentrates on travel video but has produced a special Vancouver Google Map featuring 2010 Winter Olympics videos. The videos currently include coverage of the Olympic Torch relay and some early action from the games themselves.

If you aren't that interested in the Olympics you can search JotPix for travel videos from around the world. It is possible to search for videos by location directly from a Google Map or use the site's search box.

Shit!
I spend one week on that train around 1980. Now I can relive the whole journey at my computer! And listening to Tolstoy's "War and Peace" in Russia at the same time:

Google just updated Norway with "Street View" pictures!
Some relly stunning views can be seen there now.
And also when I was swearing about the bad satellite photos in Stavanger, the computer started to behave strange. I closed Google Earth and when I restarted there was new detailed photos over the place.
Thanks Google for hearing me!
If there is no God, there is at least Google!

Here you have instructions about how to use Street View
